This Driver Agreement (“Agreement”) is between A Superior Transportation LLC, d/b/a U.P.Rides (“the Company,” “we,” “us”), and you (“Driver,” “you”). By e-signing during your application, you agree to these terms as a condition of being engaged to drive for the Company.
You are engaged to provide passenger transportation for the Company’s customers using the U.P.Rides Drivers app and following Company dispatch, scheduling, and procedures. You were hired at an agreed rate set out in your private pay schedule (Schedule A). That rate is personal to you and may increase with your tenure and performance at the Company’s discretion — the longer and better you drive with us, the more you earn.
Your rate, percentage, bonuses, and earnings are confidential. You will not discuss, compare, disclose, or ask about pay with other drivers, customers, or anyone else. You were hired at your own rate, for your own reasons — another driver’s rate is none of your concern, and yours is none of theirs. Breaking this is grounds for termination.
While engaged by the Company, you agree that you will NOT:
All customers, customer contacts, and bookings belong to the Company.
You will conduct yourself with respect at all times: for the customer, for the vehicle, and for yourself.
You will be clean and presentable every shift — bathed, groomed, in clean and appropriate clothing, free of offensive odor. You are the face of the Company to every customer. Look the part.
Customer service is the job, and it takes patience, understanding, and a real commitment to making the customer happy. Be patient with everyone — the late, the confused, the upset, the difficult. Listen, understand, and solve; go the extra mile. Your goal on every ride is a customer who wants to ride with U.P.Rides again. Complaints happen — handle them calmly and hand them to management rather than arguing.
The U.P.Rides Drivers app and your login are yours alone — never shared. You consent to location tracking while logged in and on an active shift, as described in our Privacy Policy — this is how dispatch sees on-duty drivers and how your mileage and pay are calculated. Tracking stops when you log off. You will mark and claim runs accurately and honestly.
Customer information, business methods, pricing, schedules, pay, and any non-public information are confidential and remain the Company’s property. You will not use or share them except to do your job — during or after your engagement.
Collect fares only as directed — base fares through the app/Square and any in-person extras through the Company’s Square as instructed. Never pocket a fare or run cash off the book. Your payout is issued through the Company’s pay process per your private Schedule A.
A Company vehicle and its equipment are Company property, provided only for Company work; you are responsible for reasonable care and for damage from misuse or neglect. If you drive your own vehicle, you are responsible for keeping it legal, insured, clean, and roadworthy — including a current 156-point inspection from a reputable mechanic.
This engagement is ongoing and may be ended by either party at any time. The Company may end it immediately for breach — moonlighting, top-hatting, self-dealing, discussing pay, dishonesty, or unsafe or disrespectful conduct. Sections 2, 3, and 9 survive the end of the engagement.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. This is the entire agreement on these subjects and replaces any prior understanding; changes must be in writing from the Company. Your classification (employee or independent contractor) and rate are set out in your private Schedule A.
By e-signing in the U.P.Rides Drivers app — checking the agreement box and typing your full legal name — you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Agreement and agree to follow it as a condition of driving for A Superior Transportation LLC / U.P.Rides. Your signature, name, date, and time are recorded with your application.
